The SSD integrates computational storage technology and encryption, improving performance, extending lifespan, and reducing organisation costs.
CDSG, a Data at Rest (DAR) storage solutions provider through its DIGISTOR drives, has unveiled the DIGISTOR CSD 3400 Enterprise SSD. This product integrates ScaleFlux computational storage technology and complies with TCG Opal for data encryption in server environments.
Additionally, the DAR storage solution enhances SSD durability and performance by using data compression to minimise write amplification, extending the NAND flash memory’s lifespan and boosting SSD speed. It also increases the SSD’s storage capacity and reduces storage costs through data compression and management features.
Featuring standard NVMe drivers and an attractive price, computational storage can be implemented by organisations of any size as seamlessly as traditional enterprise SSDs. This approach addresses costs, density, computing efficiency, sustainability, and other factors.
“With the DIGISTOR CSD 3400, we’re excited to provide our military and federal agency customers and OEM partners with secure enterprise drives that improve system performance and power efficiency,” said Randal Barber, CEO of CDSG. “Employing high-performance enterprise drives while reducing data storage costs and increasing SSD lifespan is important to those who deploy servers on the tactical edge and edge compute environments such as in the telecom sector.”
