The module delivers 5V and 12.5W output from a 36V to 57V input, suitable for various development stages and power conversion.

Evaluation kit

Infineon Technologies AG has introduced a new evaluation kit tailored for embedded, Edge AI, and Machine Learning (ML) system designs. The PSoC 6 AI Evaluation Kit includes all necessary tools for developing intelligent consumer, smart home, and IoT applications. This kit enhances real-time performance and power efficiency by executing inferencing right next to the sensor data source, providing a significant advantage over cloud-centric solutions.

The kit’s compact size (35 mm x 45 mm), affordability, and extensive range of integrated sensors and connectivity options make it ideal for in-field data collection, rapid prototyping, model evaluation, and solution creation. It also seamlessly integrates with Infineon’s robust microcontroller (MCU), sensor, and connectivity portfolios. Developers can use powerful software development environments, including the Infineon ModusToolbox and Imagimob Studio, which support custom and off-the-shelf ML models.

The Imagimob Studio provides AI models and tools for various applications, enabling developers to accelerate their transition from development to production. This platform is accessible at no initial cost—users only pay for the models when they are launched in their products. It facilitates the building and optimising of high-quality AI models, whether starting from scratch or refining existing ones.

Furthermore, Imagimob Ready Models are invaluable for companies that need more time, budget, or machine learning expertise to develop custom models. These ready-made solutions streamline the adoption of AI technologies, making advanced capabilities accessible to a broader range of businesses.

“Infineon is helping drive the evolution of Edge AI, which requires the real-time compute capability and power-efficiency that distinguish our hardware portfolio, along with development tools that simplify and speed application development,” said Steve Tateosian, SVP of IoT, industrial and consumer microcontrollers, Infineon Technologies. “Our newest evaluation kit offers access to a complete, easy-to-use ecosystem of Infineon hardware and software that will accelerate the development and deployment of intelligent solutions in consumer, smart home, commercial and industrial IoT applications.”
