AMD has launched gaming products to strengthen its desktop, mobile, and handheld gaming leadership. The company has introduced the Ryzen 9900X3D and 9950X3D Series desktop processors, offering performance for desktop gamers. Additionally, the company launched the second-generation Ryzen Z2 processor for handheld gaming PCs, providing performance for AAA games on the go.

The X3D processors move the cache memory beneath the core complex die (CCD), positioning the “Zen 5” cores closer to the cooling solution. This design boosts clock speeds while reducing temperatures, improving performance compared to the previous generation.

AMD Ryzen Z2 Series processors bring console-quality gaming to handheld devices, offering a combination of desktop gaming experiences. With up to 8 “Zen 5” CPU cores and RDNA 3.5 architecture-powered graphics, the new Ryzen Z2 processors provide gameplay and graphics while optimizing power usage for hours of uninterrupted gaming.

The Ryzen 9000HX Series processors offer performance in gaming laptops for mobile gaming. Re-engineered with 2nd generation 3D V-Cache™ technology, these processors relocate the memory below the processor, providing higher performance, lower temperatures, and faster clock rates.

At the top of the lineup, the Ryzen 9955HX3D is expected to be one of the fastest mobile processors for gamers and creators. Featuring up to 16 cores and 32 threads, systems powered by Ryzen 9000HX processors are set to deliver the most performance cores in any mobile PC processor. With DDR5 memory support, these processors enable low-power, high-bandwidth memory, perfect for gaming laptops.

“Gaming has become one of the biggest forms of entertainment around the world, and with titles becoming more immersive and demanding, having the right hardware and software is critical for the best player experience,” said Jack Huynh, senior vice president and general manager, Computing and Graphics Group, AMD. “Today’s announcements underscore our commitment to providing gamers everywhere the freedom to choose their gaming experiences without being held back by performance bottlenecks.”
