India’s first AI-powered servo system boosts efficiency, dramatically reducing operation time and enhancing precision in manufacturing.

AI Servo system

Panasonic Life Solutions India’s Industrial Devices Division (INDD), a technology company, introduces the industry’s first commercialized AI-equipped servo system, the MINAS A7 servo system, along with the MINAS CZ1 Global and MINAS A6SC series Servo Motors for Indian OEMs. Using advanced technology, these servo systems are engineered to enhance manufacturing output through improved motion performance, control, and efficiency.

The servo motors feature an AI-driven system that enables precision tuning, a task that previously required expert human intervention. With the introduction of the first AI-equipped servo system, these motors establish a new industry standard. Panasonic’s Precision Tuning technology allows these motors to perform automatic tuning efficiently, reducing operational times by up to 90% compared to manual methods.

The system offers a speed response frequency of 4.0 kHz and an encoder resolution of 27 bits, setting new benchmarks for precision in positioning and processing. The system’s energy efficiency reduces operational costs and environmental impact. Its design is compact and robust, suitable for installation in spaces with limited availability while maintaining performance. The series provides versatile solutions for various industrial applications.

The series performs well in complex automation systems. It features a 3200 Hz response frequency and EtherCAT support that enables high-speed (100 Mbps) communication and synchronized operations. It includes real-time automatic adjustments and multiple vibration control filters to optimize performance. The system’s flexibility is enhanced with upgrade capabilities through various enslaved people, and it supports the construction of PC-based systems without dedicated hardware.

The series handles light-duty and high-power applications, supporting a range of power ratings and configurations. It features a 3.2 kHz response frequency and features such as pulse direction control, multiple vibration control filters, fit gain setting, two-degree-of-freedom control, adaptive load control, friction torque compensation, and manual/auto damping filters. These features ensure high precision and efficiency across various applications.
