Designed to withstand extreme temperatures and conditions, this switch maximizes efficiency and operational performance across various industries, providing unmatched performance and reliability in harsh industrial environments.

Red Lion announces the launch of the N-Tron NT116 unmanaged industrial Ethernet switch. Designed for industrial applications, the switch provides dependable performance for mission-critical applications under harsh conditions. The unmanaged switch delivers reliability and performance for data acquisition, Ethernet I/O, and process control. For network support, it supports full wire-speed communications of up to 3.2 Gb/s throughput. The unit employs store-and-forward technology and supports full and half duplex operation. Two 10-49 VDC power inputs provide redundancy.

The key features are:

  • 16 high-performance copper ports (10/100BaseTX RJ45)
  • Compact industrial metal enclosure
  • Withstands high shock and vibration
  • Built-in ESD and surge protection for all ports
  • 1.2M hour MTBF rating
  • Slim design
  • Operates in temperatures from -40°C to 85°C

It evolves from Red Lion’s 116TX unmanaged industrial Ethernet switch. It complies with IEEE 802.3 and holds marine, railway, and rolling stock certifications, along with UL Ordinary and Hazardous locations, ATEX, and IECEx certification. It simplifies the gathering of critical performance data. Its rugged design provides the durability and reliability needed to withstand extreme conditions in factory floor control networks, oil and gas, utilities, wastewater treatment, alternative energy, rail, intelligent traffic control, and transportation applications.

“When industrial equipment operators and business leaders can access their data seamlessly and quickly, they derive more value from it. The N-Tron® NT116 unmanaged industrial Ethernet switch minimizes downtime and maximizes throughput to improve efficiency and drive operational performance,” said Diane Davis, Product Manager.
