COSEL adds a 1500W power supply to its robust and reliable PJMA series of power supplies for demanding medical applications
Medical power supplies need to be robust and reliable as they are even used for powering life-saving equipment. COSEL has added a new 1500W power supply to its PJMA series of power supplies. The power supply works over a wide input range from 85VAC to 264AC. The device has a low power consumption at no load and is suitable for medical Body Floating (BF) applications. The power supplies comply with medical isolation grade 2MOPP (IN/OUT) and 1MOPP (OUT/FG) safety requirements.
The 1500W power supply has been optimized to offer a good price/performance ratio. The PJMA series offers a typical efficiency of up to 88% and can be operated within the wide range of 85 to 264VAC. The power supply comes with four single output voltages i.e. 12V/125A, 24V/64A, 36V/42A, and 48V/32A. The output voltage can be adjusted by using the built-in potentiometer. The PJMA series has a five-year warranty and conforms to the European RoHS, REACH and Low Voltage Directives
The PJMA series of power supplies offers multiple safety features including an inrush current limiting circuitry, overcurrent and overvoltage protection, as well as thermal protection. The robust power supplies can be used in a temperature range of -20 to +70 degrees centigrade. The 1500W module comes in a compact package measuring 178 x 61 x 268mm and has a weight of 3.5 kg.
According to the company, the PJMA series can be customized to accommodate application-specific requirements. Some of the customization options include conformal coating (C), low leakage current (G), external potentiometer connector (V), remote control (R), and low-speed fan (F4). The PJMA series is built in an enclosed, galvanized steel box with a fan mounted on the rear side. The power supply comes with a warranty of 5 years
