AMD has announced a series of next-generation architecture and products designed to revolutionize AI experiences. Among these, the new AMD Ryzen AI 300 Series processors, featuring the world’s most powerful Neural Processing Unit (NPU), are set to transform AI-infused computing on laptops. Additionally, the AMD Ryzen 9000 Series processors for desktops reinforce AMD’s leadership in performance and efficiency for gamers, content creators, and professionals.
The AI 300 Series processors are built on the new XDNA 2 architecture, delivering 50 TOPS of AI processing power. These processors feature up to 12 high-performance “Zen 5” CPU cores with 24 threads and 50% more on-chip L3 cache memory compared to the previous generation. The third-gen Ryzen AI Series promises enhanced AI experiences, productivity, and gaming, all while maintaining exceptional power efficiency.
For desktops, the Ryzen 9000 Series represents a significant advancement, built on the “Zen 5” architecture and offering an average 16% better IPC performance than the “Zen 4” generation. The Ryzen 9 9950X provides the fastest consumer desktop performance globally.

The company is collaborating with partners like Acer, ASUS, HP, Lenovo, and MSI to launch AI PCs powered by Ryzen AI 300 Series processors. Industry leaders such as Microsoft and Zoom are also working closely with it to expand AI PC capabilities. The Ryzen 9000 Series desktop processors will be available starting July 2024, featuring new AMD X870E and X870 chipsets with support for PCIe 5.0, DDR5, USB4, and WIFI7, ensuring longevity and good performance.
