The innovative product launched by Sony is set to revolutionise the way how we manage body temperature under different environmental conditions.
Due to rising outside temperatures coupled with constantly working in places with no room cooling facilities, maintaining our body temperature at an optimal level becomes a challenge (one can’t carry a heavy air-conditioner with themselves everywhere).
To tackle this challenge, Sony has now come up with an innovative pocket air-conditioner called the Reon Pocket. This portable, wearable air conditioner provides effective cooling at any time of the day. In fact, the device can also be used as a heater during winters to generate warm temperature.
Convenient usage
The device works using the Peltier effect. It comes with a top-body innerwear that has a storage pocket at the back of the neck for holding the Reon Pocket. Whenever you need to use the device, simply wear the innerwear with the device firmly secured in the back pocket. Connect it to the Reon Pocket app present in your smartphone via Bluetooth.
The Reon Pocket has 4 function modes: manual, auto, my mode and quick launch.
- Manual mode: Allows you to select the temperature level from 4 levels yourself.
- Auto mode: Multiple sensors installed in the device body detect the outside temperature and automatically adjust the cooling/heating effect according to a person’s inner temperature and activity.
- My mode: Allows a user to adjust the desired temperature level and time duration for use.
- Quick launch: If you want to use the main body in your hand, you can turn it on and off simply by pressing the button on the main unit.

- Wear loose, breathable and light clothing such as white that does not absorb heat.
- Avoid wearing multiple layers of clothing over the innerwear for better device performance.
- The device body is not waterproof therefore keep away Reon Pocket from sweat, rain, snow etc.
- Avoid long time use in hot weather
