The new battery health diagnostic tool with cutting-edge technology to precisely measure battery resistance, voltage, and temperature, with accuracy, fast response, and advanced features to optimise battery assessments
KUSAM-MECO announced the KM 930, its latest battery internal resistance tester model. Designed to assess the health of rechargeable batteries—including lead storage and lithium types—this device measures internal resistance, voltage, and temperature to provide comprehensive insights into battery condition.
This employs a 4-terminal test to accurately measure a battery’s internal resistance unaffected by contact resistance between the test wire, terminal, and electrode. Controlled by a microprocessor, it precisely detects battery resistance, voltage, and temperature without interrupting the UPS system, utilising AC-low resistance measurement and noise reduction technology. It evaluates the device’s continuous performance. It offers data storage, retrieval, alarm, and auto-shutdown functions, making it ideal for battery production, installation, and equipment manufacturing.
The technical specifications include:
- Power supply DC 3.7V lithium battery
- Accuracy guaranteed temperature and humidity: 23 °C ±5 °C, below 75%rh
- Internal resistance measurement:0.000mΩ~3.100 Ω (4 ranges configuration)
- Voltage measurement: 0.000V~±71.00V (consisting of 2 ranges)
- Temperature measurement: -10.0℃~60.0℃ (single range configuration)
- Fast Response time 200ms
Advanced Data Management Tool
The LCD on the instrument is 70.1mm x 52.6mm or 3.5 inches, featuring a resolution of 320×240 and presenting visuals in 16-bit true colour. It comes equipped with a USB interface for enhanced connectivity and data transfer, allowing users to upload stored data to a computer for saving or printing purposes. It supports Bluetooth connectivity. Its functionality includes a “hold and store” feature, which permits manual and automatic data retention and storage. An added measurement judgment function allows users to pre-set judgment thresholds, including PASS, WARNING, and FAIL, streamlining the assessment process.
The instrument’s power consumption ranges from a minimum of 300mA to a maximum of 500mA. With its battery included, the weight of the meter is approximately 480g. It’s designed to operate efficiently within a temperature range of -10℃ to 40℃. The machine is high-grade with a wide measuring range, high resolution, convenient operation, easy to carry, accurate, reliable, stable performance, and strong anti-interference ability. It is an indispensable instrument for battery production, installation, equipment production, maintenance, and other scenarios.
