Small-size, high-density AC/DC units and state-of-the-art DC/DC converters are added to power supplies offer
OXFORD, UK, 11 May, 2017 – RS Components (RS), the trading brand of Electrocomponents plc (LSE:ECM), the global distributor for engineers, is stocking a new range of products from power supply manufacturer Cosel. With rapidly growing sales in Europe the brand is well-known in Japan and the US for manufacturing reliable and high-quality power supplies, including ultra-small AC/DC switching supplies and state-of the-art DC/DC converters. Based on the distribution agreement between RS and Cosel, signed in late 2015, RS has already made hundreds of Cosel products available globally and is now introducing more than 500 new products to the range. All these products are competitively priced and are now in stock, many supplied with five-year warranties.
Key new products in the range include the compact GHA300F and GHA500F series of industry-standard 3×5-inch footprint units, which deliver an exceptionally high power density with a maximum power output of 500W. Offering industrial and medical safety approvals and fitting 1U standard-size applications, features of the supplies include built-in fan, low leakage current, internal dual fuses and a harmonic attenuator that meets IEC61000-3-2 Class A for EMC compliance. Other features include built-in power factor correction (PFC) circuitry for decreased AC input capacity, as well as built-in inrush current, overcurrent and overvoltage protection circuitry. Various options are also available including remote On/Off, AUX1/2 (12/5V), and power-good signal.
Other important product ranges are the TUHS and TUNS series of AC/DC converters. The TUHS series of small-size AC/DC converters offers a compact footprint for improved design flexibility. Featuring high efficiency and low standby power, the units accept an 85–264V AC or 120–370V DC universal input voltage. The TUNS high-reliability AC/DC converters come with PFC circuitry, making them suitable for conduction cooling. Other features include an 85–264V AC input voltage range and built-in overcurrent, overvoltage and thermal protection circuits.
A further addition is the CHS range of compact, high-density and high-reliability isolated DC/DC converters, which offer high efficiencies at up to 92.5% and come in the quarter-brick standard size for applications such as telecommunications. Integrated features include overcurrent, overvoltage and thermal-protection circuitry and remote ON/OFF.
