Panasonic Life Solutions India’s (PLSIND) Industrial Devices Division (INDD) unveiled products and solutions tailored for the automotive and industrial sectors at the electronica India exhibition. The new offerings include a Cooling Fan Motor for Motorcycles & Scooters, a 6-in-1 Sensor for vehicle stability and control, a Cooling Fan for heat dissipation, an Ultrasonic Gas-Flow Measurement Unit, and MEGTRON-8, a Multi-Layer Circuit Board Material. These solutions are designed to meet the evolving needs of India’s industrial and automotive industries, enhancing performance, safety, and reliability.
- Cooling Fan Motor for scooters and motorcycles has been launched, optimized for submerged conditions. This flat coreless motor improves engine cooling, enhancing fuel efficiency. Key features include a single-bearing structure, a constant-load brush spring, and a lifespan of 3,000 hours—three times longer than current models. Designed for premium two-wheelers, it ensures reliable performance in rain and water-logged environments.
- 6-in-1 Inertial Sensor in India measures vehicle acceleration and angular rate across three axes (X, Y, Z), providing vital data for safety and stability. It meets ISO26262 standards, including ASIL-D certification, ensuring reliability for ESC, ABS, autonomous driving, and V2X communication systems.
- New Cooling Fan addresses increasing engine heat output with a design that includes a hydro-dynamic bearing for operation over a wide temperature range. It performs consistently under harsh conditions while maintaining quiet operation, even during exposure to shocks and vibrations. Suitable for LED headlamps, ADAS systems, infotainment, clusters, DC-DC converters, and 5G devices, ensuring effective thermal management for electronics in temperatures from -40°C to 95°C.
- Ultrasonic Gas-Flow Measurement Unit is designed for Smart Gas Meters, offering high accuracy and compatibility with various gases, including air, oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen. It supports gas flow measurement up to 7.2m³/hour and is widely adopted in European Smart Gas Meter installations. Additional features like a shut-off valve and seismic sensor enhance its functionality. It is useful in Smart Gas Meter installations.
- New MEGTRON-8 multi-layer circuit board materials have been introduced to support next-generation high-speed communication equipment, such as routers, switches, and servers. MEGTRON-8 reduces transmission loss by 30% compared to its predecessor, improving efficiency for equipment using 800 Gigabit Ethernet (GbE). It is useful in High-speed networking equipment, including routers, switches, optical transmission devices, and AI servers.
