Consistent Infosystems has released a new NVMe 4th Gen solid state drive SSD. The SSD is said to be the first 4th Gen SSD developed by an Indian brand. NVMe (nonvolatile memory express) is optimized to take advantage of the low latency and high bandwidth of PCIe (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express), a high-speed interface commonly used for connecting devices to a computer’s motherboard. The NVMe 4th Gen is the latest protocol which offers up to 10 times faster speed when compared to normal SSDs. The higher speed enables the SSD to offer faster data transfer rates making the user experience better and opening the door to new applications.
The company claims that the new Consistent NVMe 4th Gen SSD is designed with inspiration from Cheetah for its high speed. The SSD can deliver speeds up to 7,300 MB per second. The faster speed will enable faster application loading, quicker operating system booting and an overall better gaming experience. In addition to the above advantages, the Consistent NVMe 4th Gen SSD has added new features such as 3D NAND which makes your device faster, holds more information, runs more efficiently and uses less energy, SLC Caching that allows for high transfer speeds on writes into the hundreds of gigabytes on flash memory that nominally can’t be written to at that speed and LDPC Advanced which helps in transmitting message over noisy transmission channel.
