The advanced standalone smoke and gas detectors ensure rapid detection of smouldering fires and deadly carbon monoxide, enhancing safety in diverse settings.
Hikvision India has launched a range of standalone smoke and gas detectors that include two product models, HF-S2E Eco and NP-FY200 in the photoelectric smoke detector category and HF-GM100 in the carbon monoxide gas detector category. The company claims that the photoelectric smoke detector is a smarter and faster solution for detecting smouldering fires than other smoke detectors. The detectors are designed to sense and promptly detect smoke, fire, and other hazards, triggering sounder alarm signals to alert users. The Carbon monoxide gas detectors find applications in various scenarios, including shops, residences, hotels, parking areas, and other relevant settings, where early carbon monoxide detection is crucial for ensuring safety.
For convenience, the smoke detector is equipped with a replaceable battery that boasts a long life of up to 3 years (AA × 2). It supports multiple alarm types, including low voltage, tampering, and maze dirty alarms, enhancing its versatility and reliability. The press release says that the carbon monoxide gas detector swiftly identifies carbon monoxide, a poisonous, odourless, and colourless gas invisible to human senses. This detector has a high-performance Figaro electrochemical sensor, ensuring accurate and reliable detection. The alarm output options include sound and LED flash alarms, providing effective visual and audible alerts.
The photoelectric smoke detector utilises dual-light sensing technology, effectively reducing false alarms caused by vapour. Equipped with a built-in Alarm indicating buzzer, the detector emits a sound level of ≥ 85 dB @ 3 m (A-Weighted) when activated. Powering the device is a reliable lithium battery that ensures a long battery life under normal operation. To ensure its proper functioning, the Smoke Detector features a test feature, allowing users to verify its performance periodically. To ensure continuous proper operation, the device incorporates a self-check function, allowing users to verify its working condition periodically. Additionally, the smoke detector supports silence and reset modes locally, granting users control over the alarm settings in specific situations.
