E-con Systems, a provider of embedded vision solutions, has introduced the See3CAM_CU31, a 3MP HDR Low-Light USB Camera. This camera follows the successful features of its GMSL counterpart. Its USB connectivity and the SONY ISX031 automotive-grade sensor stand out in the market, suitable for dashboard cameras, delivery robots, and intelligent transportation systems (ITS).

Automotive manufacturers and suppliers can integrate it into dashboard cameras to enhance vehicle safety features, while robotics companies can use it for delivery robots and other automated systems, benefiting from its effective operation in low-light conditions. Additionally, its robust design allows it to perform reliably in security and surveillance, industrial applications enduring extreme temperatures, and research environments requiring detailed imaging.

The camera uses sub-pixel HDR technology to deliver HDR performance up to 120 dB. It includes LED Flicker Mitigation, ensuring clear images in changing environments and stable image quality under fluctuating lighting. The camera also performs well in low-light conditions and has a plug-and-play design for easy integration and immediate use without complex configuration.

Additionally, the USB Camera has a 5:4 aspect ratio, providing vertical coverage while maintaining horizontal detail, which is helpful for ITS and parking lot management. The camera is designed to operate in extreme temperatures, functioning in conditions ranging from -40°C to 85°C, and is suitable for challenging applications.

“See3CAM_CU31 represents a substantial leap forward in USB HDR and low-light imaging technology. We are confident it will significantly benefit our customers across various industries. This camera delivers exceptional performance and versatility, making it an ideal choice for diverse applications like dashcams, ITS, and more,” said Suresh Madhu, Head of the Industrial Business Unit at e-con Systems.
