Inovaxe, a world leader and provider of innovative material handling and inventory control systems, will exhibit in Booth #1423 at the 2023 IPC APEX EXPO, scheduled to take place Jan. 24-26, 2023 at the San Diego Convention Center in California. The company will launch its brand new Smart IMSD2000 (InoMSD), designed to give manufacturers true control for managing moisture-sensitive devices through its innovative design.
The IMSD2000 includes Inovaxe’s revolutionary MSD tracking and timing software. LEDs light up the desired parts so that they can be located and pulled in seconds. The system has eight doors to allow easy access to Inovaxe’s intelligent storage trays. The individual component MSD level is designated per the manufacturer specification in accordance with the MSD standard J-STD-033A. The IMSD2000 can store 7, 13, and 15 inch reels, JEDEC trays, tubes, and some PCBs. Each level can store either two 7 inch trays for a combined capacity of 160 reels, or two 13 or 15 inch trays for a combined capacity of 80 reels. A full 7” configuration has a maximum capacity of 640 reels and a full 13” configuration has a maximum capacity of 320 reels. Additionally, four caster wheels allow for easy transportation, while four adjustable legs allow the unit to be securely locked into place. The IMSD2000 gives manufacturers true control for managing moisture sensitive devices through its innovated design.
Also on display at APEX, the LS700 model has four rows of 7″reel storage for a maximum capacity of 320 7″, 8mm reels in less than 2.5 square feet of floor space. The LS700-1 model adds an additional half row of reel storage to provide 368 7″, 8mm locations, maximizing capacity while still providing access to important controls on production equipment like emergency stops.
Both models include an integrated display running the standard InoAuto software, with additional features optimized for lineside usage, as well as an integrated 1D/2D barcode scanner. LS700 racks can operate as standalone storage, or as part of a complete InoAuto system, and can interface directly with pick-and-place machines and MES systems to automate production operations.
LS700 racks can operate as stationary storage that stays on the production line, or they can be equipped with a battery to provide mobility – allowing operators to move racks back and forth from production lines and storage areas.
These new solutions will streamline SMT material handling processes by decreasing handling time, cutting out errors and manual data entry, stopping line-down occurrences and eliminating the black hole of WIP.
