We interacted with Tanmay Bhandari, co-founder and chief executive officer (CEO) at Mumbai-based GlobCon Technologies as part of our continued efforts to research IoT startups in India.
Q. What is the USP of your organisation with respect to IoT?
A. We work in the Big Data space. We have capability to analyze data captured by Smart devices (IoT). This data can be in any format (structure / unstructured), we can analyze it and provide insights regarding potential future performance on the monitored system.
Q. What are the key technologies that you are working on?
A. R, Python, SAS, Tableau, and more.
Q. Any particular elements that you are already known or famous for (even within your community or sector)?
A. Strong service delivery, and client service. We were one of the top 10 emerging analytics companies of India for the year 2016 according to Analytics India Magazine.
Q. What niche do you intent to be a leader in?
A. The big data space.
Q. What are the major features or projects that your team is currently involved in?
A. Healthcare Analytics, Telecom Analytics and Financial Analytics are the key projects on which we are currently working.
Q. Who all have you partnered with respect to technologies, components, and why?
A. We majorly work on Open source platforms.

A. Any company which captures good amount of data at any level of operations like retail, and healthcare.
Q. How many engineers do you currently have, and how many do you intend to hire in the next twelve months?
A. Over twenty engineers are associated with us and we are looking to double the count in the current year 2017.
